Canadian Provider Pragmatic Play Donates €100,000 In Aid to Victims of Turkey-Syria Earthquake

Pragmatic Play, a leading software provider, has contributed €100,000 to the British Red Cross in Gibraltar. Its goal is to aid victims of the earthquake that ruptured in Turkey and Syria and has killed not less than 50,000 people and injured up to 100,000 to date. 

The Disasters Emergency Committee forwarded the funds to the Turkey-Syria earthquake appeal. Pragmatic Play hopes the funds can be used to repair some of the damage cursed by the massive earthquake that hit Turkey, which destroyed residential structures, hospitals, and roads.

Pragmatic Play Points outs the Benefit of Aiding Those Affected

The rubble has trapped numerous individuals, and the number remains unknown. Many individuals have been deemed missing in this disaster, with the death toll expected to rise. In Syria, the earthquake was experienced across Latakia, Aleppo, and Hama.

The Turkish Red Crescent has also supported with operations extending across the Syrian border with relief funds en route. It has also sent out medicine, food, and manpower. Numerous volunteers from around the globe have assembled to assist with governments in sending relief teams since the start of the disaster.

Meanwhile, according to the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, the earthquake affected five million individuals. Pragmatic Play hopes that its donation will aid in fixing some of the damage and aid with providing food, shelter, winter kits, warm blankets, and emergency treatment for those affected.

Julian Jarvis, the CEO of Pragmatic Play, made a statement urging everyone to help and do so quickly. The British Red Cros Gibraltar Branch thanked Pragmatic Play for contributing to the efforts and stated that it would continue supporting those affected by the earthquake.
